Twin Cities GLBT Pride

Fun, sun, and hundreds of thousands of people just waiting to be organized - that's what Pride Weekend means to us! There is no better opportunity to discuss GLBT equality with our community than at one of the largest Pride Festivals in the country. We're in the middle of all the action every year. Volunteers at Pride staff Information Booths, canvass the crowd, register voters and serve up the cheapest coffee, lemonade and cookies in the Park! It all happens during the last weekend of June at Loring Park in Minneapolis.

Phone banking remains one of the most effective political organizing tools available. To increase our efficiency, we use predictive dialer technology, which means no hand-dialing!

Tabling and Events

Another opportunity for organizing work is by staffing information tables at events. Throughout the year we rely on responsible volunteers to represent OutFront Minnesota at numerous events and venues across the state. Data Entry Parties

For a social justice non-profit, the importance of a growing and well-maintained database cannot be over-emphasized. It is literally our greatest (non-volunteer!) asset.

We party it up on Tuesday nights. Volunteers arrive by 6pm. We work until 8, occasionally heading out to a local establishment for conversation and refreshment afterwards. Weekday Office

We welcome weekday volunteers to our office. There are two volunteer computers always available. Weekday volunteers are scheduled for times between 10am and 5pm, Monday through Friday. Most choose to work 2 hour shifts.

Bar Night Outreach
