The "anti-marriage" constitutional amendment |

For three years in a row (2004-2006) a group of conservative state lawmakers tried to push through a proposal to let people vote to amend the state constitution to ban marriage for GLBT people. OutFront Minnesota led the effort to defeat these measures. In 2007, conservative house members and senators introduced new bills for the same anti-marriage amendment but went nowhere in either the 2007 or 2008 sessions.
