Robert Lilligren

Robert Lilligren

Robert Lilligren serves as a Minneapolis City Council Member, representing the city’s 6th Ward. A member of the White Earth Band of Ojibwe, he is the first American Indian tribal member to serve on the Minneapolis City Council.

Robert has a strong background in community activism, housing development, and transportation issues.  He is a self-employed small-scale housing developer/property manager.

He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Greater Minneapolis Convention and Visitors Association, the Empowerment Zone Governance Board, the Neighborhood Revitalization Program Policy Board and the Board of Minneapolis Community Action; a federal anti-poverty program.

Committed to life in the city, Robert doesn’t own a car – he relies on mass transit, his bike, or his feet to get around.  He is also a classically trained singer.
