OutFront Minnesota provides a list of resources for those who are beginning a coming out process. Listed below are organizations and individuals who can provide support, information, and referrals.

Quatrefoil Library

The Quatrefoil (pronounced 'kwah-tra-foil') Library in St. Paul, Minnesota is one of the largest GLBT libraries and archives in the nation. The Quatrefoil Library is located at 1619 Dayton Avenue, one-half mile south of I-94 and one block west of Snelling Avenue in Saint Paul.

The Amazon Bookstore Cooperative

In Minneapolis, the Amazon Bookstore Cooperative at 4755 Chicago Ave. S is a premier feminist and lesbian bookstore, with lots more titles on the shelf as well. You can also order any book through the Amazon Bookstore Cooperative that you find in any other bookstore. The Amazon Bookstore Cooperative also sells tickets to many of the feminist and lesbian events held in the Twin Cities.

Arch

Arch is a student-run support group for those who are in any stage of the coming out process. It offers confidential support, and is part of the University of Minnesota Queer Student Cultural Center.

Chrysalis Center For Women

The Chrysalis Center for Women offers counseling and support groups for women with various issues including a group for lesbian women to discuss issues, including self worth, isolation, and relationships. Through the group, women gain support from others who are going through similar life situations.

For youth under 21, District 202 Center for Youth at offers a safe drop-in center and coffee house, social and support groups, referrals for runaways, HIV prevention counseling and much more.

Exploring Identity Group (for men)

The men’s group is a safe, nonjudgmental place to explore the meaning and feeling of being a man. Additionally, group members can explore the concerns they have in their lives. There are two different groups: one for men in their 20’s and 30’s and one for men in their late 30’s and older.

Face to Face Health and Counseling Services, Inc.

Face to Face offers a wide range of support services to GLBT youth, families, and the professional community. They strive to create a safe and welcoming place for youth to explore sexual orientation and gender identity. They offer individual and family counseling as well as support groups for GLBT youth.

The Twin Cities Men’s Center provides resources for men seeking to grow in body, mind, and spirit, and from that foundation advocates for healthier families and community relationships. Support and counseling for men includes coming out, bisexual and gay dads support groups.
