Yaya Flores (they/she) joined Outfront MN in July of 2022 as the Safe Harbor Youth Services Coordinator. Yaya comes from a background in community outreach, youth work, and organizing. They're looking forward to being part of the Anti-Violence Program and to continue advocacy work for LGBTQIA+ youth.

Yaya attended North Hennepin Community College and Augsburg University studying Political Science and Sociology. Throughout their education they have gotten involved with leading student groups and community organizing focusing on issues like community safety, immigrant rights, and LGBTQIA+ rights. Yaya values community, youth’s voices, and intersectionality.

In their free time, they enjoy hammocking, tending to their houseplants, and brewing various types of tea or making cafe de olla.

I live with my chinchilla, Mochi who is a sassy fluffball that loves chamomile and dried strawberries
I grew up watching Sailor Moon and other animes in Spanish
My go to order is lavender a chai with oat milk
